Hello! We live in the south shore of Québec city (top 10
destinations worldwide - Conde Nast Traveller), in Canada.
We live
in an ancestral renovated canadian house (built circa 1845), with the
St-Lawrence River across the street. We are located 10 minutes from
the ferry that brings you in the heart of old Québec city
(Québec city has recently celebrated its 400th anniversary).
You can either take the Pont de Québec (bridge) and be in the
city center in 20 minutes. When you walk in the old town, it is like
having a taste of Europe. Architecture is very beautiful.
Québec City has plenty of very good restaurants (highest number
per capita in Canada), and a lot of cultural and musical activity is
going on everywhere in town, especially during summer. During winter,
ski resorts are 30 to 45 minutes away, including the Mont-Ste-Anne and
Stoneham.
Our house has no neighbors in the backyard, we have a
huge deck (40 ft by 25 ft), a swimming pool and a fire pit. It has 4
bedrooms,1½ bathroom, and we can accomodate 6 people (1 king size bed, 1
double bed and 2 twin beds, the 4th room accomodates our baby Nellie).
The house has 3 floors, 3 bedrooms upstairs and one in the basement.
It also has a waterjet bath. It measures about 30 x 40 ft.
We are a
family of 5 (Marc-André 38, Rachel 38, Charlotte 7, Mariane 5
and Nellie 2½ months). We would be travelling with our friends, so we
need accomodation for around 8 people.
If you are
interested, we would be very pleased to send you pictures of our home
and family!
