This is our holiday home at Pukawa Bay. (Southern end of Lake Taupo)
Fabulous views over Lake Taupo & stress-free accommodation for families. Close to some of the best scenery & activities in the Nth Island. Great place for a family holiday!
All fittings are tidy & adequate with a well appointed kitchen, laundry & bathroom. All wet areas have vinyl floor coverings, but all other areas are uncovered - easier to clean when the kids bring back the sand from the lake shore!
3 bedrooms - 1 with queen bed, 1 with double bed & low single bed for small child, & bunk/single bedroom (5+). Bathroom has shower & spa bath - great to relax after skiing or fishing. Kitchen has grill, cooking hobs, fan forced oven, microwave etc. There is also BBQ. Gas heater in lounge, TV & DVD with a small selection of DVDs.
Decks to enjoy the sun & views. Very private. Relax, enjoy the views across the lake & listen to the birds Tuis, Bellbirds, Fantails, watch the Wood Pigeons. Set amongst! native bush.
Stroll to Lake Taupo, 2 minute walk. Great safe swimming.
2 Kayaks available for use - stored on site. Life jackets(various sizes - child/youth/adult)also available.
Lots of bush walks. Walk to the local shop, through the bush, for the newspaper etc
Great restaurant - 5 minutes walk, 10 minute drive to Waihi or Tokaanu restaurants, 12 minutes to Turangi.
Pleasant drives - 45 mins to Taupo, 45 mins to skiing at Whakapapa or summer time walks on Mt Ruapehu, 10 mins to Tokaanu Hot pools.
Set on bush clad hill (access steps to house & house is on 3 levels) - not suitable for elderly, physically disabled or small children due to access & physical layout.
Access to a car could be arranged as could an exchange using our home in Palmerston North (the holiday house is 2. 5 hours from our home. )
An exchange using our home in Palmerston North would need to be arranged around our school holidays - September, Dec/Jan, June.
